Black Canvas takes what the road left behind — swirl marks, dead wax, road film, a decade of neglect — and repaints it. Every car is a blank canvas until we get to it.
street-level access. gallery-level results.Black Canvas started in a Worcester driveway with one machine polisher, one German chemistry line, and an Audi Q3 that deserved better than a gas-station wash. The first proper correction on that car settled it: there's a real difference between making paint look clean and making it right — and most of this industry sells the first one at the second one's price.
So this studio runs on two rules. Every product on the van earns its place at the molecular level, or it doesn't ride. And every car — sedan, SUV, weekend toy — gets treated like a piece going up in a show, because to us, it is one.
There's no one-size-fits-all here — there's an order of operations. Every Black Canvas detail follows the same six-step Koch Chemie sequence, because chemistry only works when it's applied in the right order. Here's exactly what happens to your car, start to finish.
Green Star Foam blankets the paint and suspends loose grit — so nothing scratches when a mitt finally makes contact.
A reactive remover dissolves embedded brake dust and rail dust — the metal a wash can't touch and a polisher shouldn't grind.
Balanced chemistry lifts film without stripping existing protection — every wash extends the last detail instead of undoing it.
Swirls, haze, and oxidation are cut out at the clear-coat level with a machine polisher — removed, not filled and hidden.
A Koch Chemie sealant bonds over the corrected paint so water beads, grime releases, and the finish holds between visits.
Lost oils are restored to dash and trim plastics before New England sun can chalk them — flexible, matte, no greasy shine.
Founding client pricing while Black Canvas builds its Worcester portfolio — locked in below standard market rate. Three services, priced straight, no script. These numbers move up once the founding slate is full.
A full hand wash, wheels, tires, and glass — done the way a $60 wash should be but rarely is.
Interior + exterior, deep clean, UV protection, and a finish that reads showroom, not driveway.
Swirls, scratches, and oxidation removed at the paint level — not masked, corrected.
Black Canvas runs one product line, top to bottom: Koch Chemie. German-engineered chemistry, since 1968, built for professionals who can't afford inconsistent results. Here's the actual science behind why that matters.
Koch Chemie's Green Star Foam blankets the paint in a thick alkaline foam that suspends dirt before a towel ever touches it. Most swirl marks come from washing, not polishing — this is how we skip that step.
Brake dust embeds iron particles a normal wash can't touch. Our reactive thiol compound visibly bleeds purple-red on contact, dissolving that metal before it etches into your clear coat.
Drive-through washes strip factory wax with harsh alkaline soap. Our pH-neutral formula cleans without breaking down existing protection — every wash extends your last detail instead of undoing it.
That grey, chalky dash look is UV-oxidized plastic, not dirt. Our conditioners replace lost oils at the surface level, restoring flexibility instead of leaving a greasy shine that grabs dust.
Every car that comes through gets treated like a piece going up in a show. Placeholder pieces below — real before/afters drop in as jobs are completed.
These slots are placeholders — swap them for real client quotes after your first few founding bookings. Nothing here is a fabricated review; it's marked so until it's real.
"[Drop in a real client quote here — what did they notice first? What surprised them?]"
"[Second placeholder — great source material is often the exact words a client texts you after pickup.]"
"[Third placeholder — a review mentioning the Koch Chemie difference or the Audi/BMW-specific care lands hardest.]"
"A car is just a canvas nobody's picked up a brush for yet."
I started Black Canvas because I couldn't stand watching a beautiful piece of engineering get treated like an appliance. My own daily driver is an Audi Q3, and the first time I properly corrected its paint, I understood the appeal instantly — it's the same rush as watching raw material become something intentional.
Basquiat took a crown, a street corner, and a raw canvas, and made something the galleries couldn't ignore. That's the model here: no dealership waiting room, no upsell script — just precision work on foreign and luxury cars, using one chemistry line I trust completely, brought straight to your driveway.

Mobile detailing is simple when it's done by someone organized. Here's exactly how a Black Canvas visit works, and the answers to everything people usually ask before booking.
Call, text, or email with your car's year/make/model and the service you want. You'll get a straight quote and available slots — usually within a few hours.
You get a confirmed date and time, plus a short list of what to have ready: a place to park, access to the car, and anything personal cleared from the cabin.
We arrive, set up, and work. Before we pack up, you get a full walkaround of the finished car — you approve the work in person, every time.
The full studio comes to your driveway, workplace lot, or garage. Everything needed for the booked service rides on the van — chemistry, machines, towels, lighting. You don't drop the car anywhere or sit in a waiting room; the car never leaves your property.
We can work either way. If you have an outdoor spigot or an outlet we can reach, we'll use it. If not, tell us when you book and we'll arrive set up to run self-contained. Either way, it's sorted before the appointment — no surprises on the day.
No. Our wash chemistry is pH-neutral and driveway-safe, product staging happens on mats — not your pavement — and rinse water is managed rather than left to pool. The standing goal: your driveway looks better after we leave than before we arrived.
Plan on roughly 1–1.5 hours for an Exterior Wash, 3–4 hours for a Full Detail, and the better part of a day for Paint Correction — correction is measured, machine-paced work, and rushing it defeats the point. You'll get a time estimate with your quote.
Black Canvas is based in Worcester and works throughout Central Massachusetts — including the Worcester–Milford corridor, Shrewsbury, Auburn, Holden, and surrounding towns. Farther out? Ask — travel beyond the core area is usually workable for Full Details and Corrections.
We watch the forecast for every booking. If weather threatens the appointment, you'll get a text ahead of time to rebook at no charge. If you have a garage or covered spot, most services can proceed rain or shine — mention it when you book.
Because consistency beats variety. One German professional line, used top to bottom, means every result is repeatable and every product's chemistry is understood — not guessed at. The full reasoning, with the actual science, is up in The Exhibit Hall.
Ceramic coating launches once the dedicated studio bay is built — coatings need controlled conditions to cure right, and we won't offer it mobile-only just to take the money. There's a waitlist: mention it when you book and you'll be first in line.
Founding client pricing won't last. Fill this in and it lands in my inbox or texts — ready to send, no back-and-forth.
